A New Mazda Identity
Creating an entirely new identity for an existing dealership began with extensive demolition of the original façade, including structural modifications necessary to accommodate Mazda's exterior design standards.
New ACM panels, EIFS, storefront glazing, and branded architectural elements reshaped the building's exterior while accompanying landscape improvements refreshed the surrounding 3.6 acre site.

Retail Evolution in Action
Emphasizing openness, visibility, and a more intuitive customer journey, Mazda of Spartanburg brings Mazda’s Retail Evolution standards into every stage of the dealership experience. The renovated showroom brings together customer lounges, glass-front consultation offices, service write-up areas, an accessories boutique, vehicle delivery spaces, new furnishings, and carefully integrated soffit and lighting details.

Putting Mazda on Display
A two-car Jewel Box display anchors the showroom and reinforces Mazda’s focus on vehicle presentation. An owner-furnished lift integrates with an approximately 18-foot-tall tiled feature, specialty lighting, and surrounding architectural finishes to create one of the dealership’s defining elements.

Coordinating Every Detail
Accelerated five-month schedule required careful coordination across nearly every part of the dealership. Work included full interior demolition and upfit, a new roof and rooftop HVAC units, a rebuilt façade, new switchgear and Duke Energy service, and significant site improvements.
Existing systems and equipment scheduled to remain also required repairs to restore like-new function. High-end Mazda finishes, including tile, glass office storefronts, and custom soffit and lighting details, added another layer of complexity. Extensive coordination was also required for owner-provided signage, graphics, furniture, and AV systems.
