Expanding Access to Care
Serving as the healthcare anchor within the Point Hope master-planned community, the pavilion brings a broad range of outpatient specialties together under one roof, creating a centralized destination for patient care. Primary care, orthopedics, cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, neurology, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy, and infusion therapy work together to improve continuity of care while providing Berkeley County residents with convenient access to comprehensive healthcare closer to home.

Designed Around the Patient Experience
Thoughtfully designed to support patient comfort from arrival through treatment, the facility balances advanced medical care with a warm, welcoming environment. Interiors draw inspiration from the natural beauty of the Lowcountry through calming color palettes, natural materials, and modern finishes that create an inviting experience for patients, families, and caregivers. Bringing multiple specialties together within a single location also strengthens collaboration among providers while simplifying the overall healthcare journey.

Technology Driving Coordination
Delivering a complex outpatient medical facility requires careful coordination long before construction begins. Choate's Virtual Design + Construction (VDC) team leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM), clash detection, and design-assist collaboration to coordinate sophisticated building systems and specialty medical equipment before installation. Working closely with the owner, design team, and trade partners, the project team streamlines coordination, minimizes field conflicts, and maintains schedule certainty while supporting the specialized infrastructure required for imaging, laboratory, infusion, and clinical spaces.
