Arizona College of Nursing

The heart of this project lies in its immersive simulation capabilities. The interactive learning environments are constructed to replicate a full spectrum of healthcare settings, including hospitals, delivery rooms, nursing homes, clinics, acute care clinics, and home-health scenarios. Students are able to move seamlessly between these environments, gaining hands-on experience in conditions that closely mirror the demands of professional practice before ever stepping foot in a clinical setting.

Adaptability was built into the design of this facility from the start. Two classrooms are divided by a folding operable partition wall, enabling the spaces to function independently for smaller groups or open into a single large gathering space for lectures, presentations, or collaborative events. This flexibility maximized the utility of the space and allows the facility to scale with the evolving needs of its academic programs.

Delivering a project of this complexity, within an occupied structure and on an active campus, required disciplined coordination at every level. The project teams’ ability to manage trade partners, maintain site standards, and uphold commitments were integral to the project’s success.
