Modern Student Living
Facility features included suite- and semi-suite-style accommodations within a Type V wood-framed structure. A cast stone and brick exterior, complemented by green aluminum windows and metal roof elements, ties the new building into Appalachian State’s existing campus architecture.
Efficient Systems and Durable Finishes
The building’s mechanical systems include PTAC units within the residential units and rooftop energy recovery units serving common areas. Durable institutional finishes, including hard-surface flooring throughout the units, support the demands of an active on-campus residential environment. Green Globes certification was pursued as part of the project’s sustainability goals.
