Inspired by early American cooking techniques, the restaurant centered around a massive 24-foot hearth visible from the open kitchen. The space also featured a full bar and six dining areas, including a private room distinguished by an antique glass ceiling and upholstered walls.
Painted tectum panels and fabric-wrapped ceiling panels provided integrated acoustical treatment throughout the dining areas. The existing storefront was replaced with a custom steel-and-glass door and window system, while a 1,200-SF Ipe deck expanded the restaurant’s outdoor seating.
Additional features included an outdoor bar clad in glazed brick with new stone countertops and an elevated wine room overlooking the bar and dining spaces. Designed with an independent HVAC system, the wine room added both visual interest and specialized environmental control.
