Choate is honored to announce The Stitch, adaptive reuse project in Morrisville, NC has earned ENR Magazine’s Award of Merit in the Renovation/Restoration category of the 2021 Southeast Best Projects Awards.

Created from a former outlet mall, this adaptive reuse project is a transformative space that is now home to a tenant conducting groundbreaking genetic research. Offering a modern office space complete with comfortable seating and collaboration areas, stylish millwork made of specialty oak wood, and plenty of large windows to provide a flow of natural light, The Stitch is a project.

“Think big and be bold,” guided Dylan Elkind of Equator Capital Management. This vision, combined with detailed collaboration and innovative design, lead to the success of this project. With more than 50,000 man-hours completed, the outlet mall that stood empty for nearly a decade was revitalized into an award-winning restaurant and retail space that retains mementos from its previous life.
