Philanthopy In Action
For our teams, philanthropy is more than a side effort or seasonal initiative; it’s an extension of who we are as employee-owners.
Guided by our Purpose of enriching the people, places, and relationships we build, we take seriously the role we play in “Building Up” our neighbors and our communities. Our Building Up philanthropic program was created out of a need to coordinate the tremendous amount of good happening across our offices.

A Commitment That Goes Beyond the Jobsite
For more than 30 years, Choate employee-owners have answered the call to serve, investing time, talent, and resources to strengthen communities across our footprint. Our focus is simple: partner with organizations already doing meaningful work, helping them extend their reach and impact.
That support takes many forms. Sometimes it’s rolling up our sleeves for trail or beach cleanups. Other times, it’s a hands-on service project that make neighborhoods stronger today. And sometimes it’s taking support into our own hands with signature events.
In every case, the goal is the same: empower our nonprofit partners to keep doing the important work they do, consistently, sustainably, and with confidence.
The time, dedication, and passion Choate’s employee-owners put into supporting our mission are truly incredible. We are grateful for the profound impact they are having on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Employee-Owners in Action
What truly sets Choate apart is the ownership mindset behind every act of service.
Our employee-owners lead, organize, volunteer, and give because they believe in the responsibility that comes with ownership: strengthening the communities we call home.
In addition to companywide initiatives, Choate’s local offices support causes close to home. Through our Building Up Committees, organizations like The Shepherd Center, Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest, and the Boys and Girls Clubs are supported via meaningful opportunities to make a difference where it matters most.
Likewise, company matching gifts of up to $1,000 per employee each year and paid volunteer time empower employee-owners to support causes that are personally meaningful, ensuring our impact is both collective and deeply personal.
